Local Roots, is located in historic downtown Powell, surrounded by small businesses and shops. The cuisine encompasses everything from gourmet pizzas and calzones to seafood, and ribs plus great salads and pasta. There are daily specials for dinner. Lunch specials start at $5.00. Now serving brunch on Sunday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The name Local Roots comes from the desire to include local produce and meats in the daily menu. The bar has 24 beers on tap, plus approx. 30 wines. Sticking to the name Local Roots, the selections include Ohio beers and wines. (Some of the wines are made within a few miles of the restaurant). Flights of beer and wine are available to allow the tasting of these beers.

The interior is unique, offering spacious, high ceilings, dark wood, a separate bar area and a large seasonal patio.
